O.K... SERIOUSLY! I need you to STOP doin' what you are doin' and LISTEN UP! MAIMOUNA YOUSSEF is the TRUUUUUUF! (yes I said "Truf" and not "Truth" :) A gifted vocalist, fly M.C, and a classic songwriter, Maimouna "Luna E" Youssef is what you need in your stereo (TRUST ME, She-Salt wouldn't steer you wrong...)
Her voice is so damn soulful and it will leave you so-full of everything that is real and rich. A star ain't even the word... this sista is a GALAXY. She has been in the game for years. Before now, Maimouna was rockin stages with CIRIUS B (only the ILLEST hip hop band) she formed with her cousin, Omari "Aziz" Forman. Big UPS to CIRIUS B (reppin B-More) Their album, SUBVERSIVE ACTIVITY will be my joint forever. She has also lended her vivacious vocals to the likes of Zap Mama and The Roots (she is featured on "Don't Feel Right"). It will truly take me forever to go down the list, but just know that Maimouna "Luna E" Youssef is the TRUUUF(as I have already stated). Maimouna is currently working on her album.
