I know its been a minute since I last posted but I have been digging deep, getting inspired. I gain inspiration from many places/things. These photographs are inspiring and EPIC to say the least. Something out of the ordinary...

Reading is fundamental! I decided to do something a little out of the ordinary and post some literature. I read FOR COLORED GIRLS...again a couple months ago and haven't been able to get it out of my head. This has got to be one of my favorite books! Let's see...which woman am I? I will have to get back to you on that one! I admire Ntozake Shange for telling our story. The artwork on the cover never ceases to amaze me! Now if only my BFF would return it to me, I could hang it up in my room again...smh!

O.K! So this is a true story! Today I was in the mall parking garage, bustin DOWN some chocolate frosted mini wheats, goin INNNNNNNNNNNNN to this song. I think it was playing on 107.5 FM. I was driving to walmart last week and this joint came on the radio!!! I'm glad I was able to hear the whole thing (I detest when I start to jam, enter a garage, and then the musica is no more :( Anywho, the beginning of the song drew me in. I was ready to take off my black reebok and throw it at the radio (saaaaang monica, and She-Salt, don't cause an accident :). Monica's voice...I love!
